You could also plan a trip to go pick berries together, take a day trip to the mountains, or even make bigger plans—think road trips and camping!
Fun At Home
Not every summer activity has to be far from home or out and about. You can also enjoy the season at home! Sit down, relax, and play some games together, paint pictures, or even do indoor camping—tents are super fun for the kids!
Other things to do at home could be backyard slip-and-slides, or pool parties if you have access to a pool. Summer backyard picnics are always a hit, too!
Fun At Night
Keeping busy during the day is easy in the summer, and there are some fun things you can do at night as well. Check if your local bowling alley offers midnight bowling, complete with glow-in-the-dark bowling balls and fun music. At home, try some simple activities, like a family movie night. If you’re still up for the outdoors, do some stargazing in the backyard. It also gives you the chance to teach the kids about constellations and astronomy!
